The Fabulous Frozen Factory, located in San Pedro Garza Garcia, Mexico is the first liquid nitrogen ice cream shop in the city.
The venue was conceived as a warehouse with a big ice cream machine where the customer can witness the spectacle of the creation process.
The challenge was to design a machine that would delimit the space and order the different elements of the program, integrating the original graphic developed by MIUNA and Osvany Tolosa into just one element.
The design was based on the machine’s operation and maintenance, but inspired by Mexican carnival games and the ingredients used in the nitrogen ice cream process.
The work table is divided into into four areas to fulfill the program requirements. To accentuate the preparation area, all the tools and functioning parts are displayed and left exposed, and the Kitchen aid appliances are painted with original colors.
Corian and stainless steel were chosen as the base materials for the work table, due to their hygiene and maintenance advantages, accomplishing an industrial feel. Stainless steel bars subdivide and link the different work areas. The sign is painted with automotive paint and lights up with 720 mini pixel leds.
